hello. I am a 22 year old female. With no major health problems. about 2 years ago (summer of 2005) for some reason I started loosing memory. I didn't think much of it in the beginning. But i couldn't remember simple things that i had done or thought about a few minutes before that. So i started writing things on sticky notes to help me. at one point my room was full of sticky notes. so this has progressed now 2 years later..(not progessed much) but i still can't remember things that are so simple. Like i couldn't remember the world "lemonade" when i was trying to order a drink. I can't remember where i put things only a few days ago.. any ideas what this could be from?

I am around your age and I have not been able to remember simple things like that and I can't concentrate when I talk. I can't even keep the names of my own cats straight. I used to be able to concentrate and think things through but just yesterday I was watching the TV show 24 and the person I was with commented that they should have cast Keifer Sutherland's real dad to play his character's dad but they cant now since some other actor was cast at his dad but that they could still cast his real dad as his character's uncle since Kiefer and his dad look alike. I responded that they could also cast him as his dad's brother. After about 30 seconds I realized what I said. This is a simple mistake anyone could make but I do things like this all the time now. I was on the phone with a friend who was trying to guess the answer to a question I ask her and I thought "Oh! I can do charades to give her the answer!" Then I realize I am on the phone. This stared after I went through a lot of stress after moving away from people who I am very close to. Maybe your memory problems could be caused by stress too?

I know that some memory loss is linked with deep breathing. So try something like yoga. Sorry I'm not much help, but good luck!

Don't know what's causing it, but I can tell you that blueberries and other reddish, blueish, purplish berries help to maintain and improve memory, skin, heart, etc. Keep preserves on hand in case you run out of fresh, and eat them every day.
