Have you ever lived with someone with a real serious mental illness i,e schizophrenia? Its not something to have a morbid fascination about, it is horrific and terrifying.
No celeb in they're right mind would own up if they did have a mental illness because of the stigma attached, such is the lovely world we live in.

And a lot of stars have depression etc.
I know Depp, Angelina Jolie and Christina Ricci have all self-harmed.
Though i disagree that Nicole Richie has an eating disorder, i know she looks thin but she is only about 5" tall!

Hey, if they had a REAL mental illness, they wouldn't be celebrities. But I can tell you, some people like Nicole Richie weigh only like 88 pounds because they are obsessed with being thin. That's mental, if you ask me!

Kurt Cobain - he killed himself, I think that qualifies.
Anne Hecht had some serious mental issues for a while.
Margot Kidder, the original Louis Lane, was institutionalized for many years.
Carrie Fischer, Princess Leia, also had many years of mental problems which she wrote about and made a movie about called postcards from the edge.

Well, do they still have to be alive? Marilyn Monroe suffered from depression as did Dorthy Danridge.

Orlando Bloom has dyslexia and Johnny Depp had ADD (who doesnt these days?) lol...Judy Garland was a drug addict, a dozen of stars these days have anorexia (don't get me started)...it just shows that no matter how normal a star appears/wants to be, they're not. In ways they are just like regular people, no, they are not as perfect as they appear :O
