I would be cautious on this one and not hard on myself. Share inconsequential weaknesses that wouldn't affect your doing the job.

You should give them an honest answer, but obviously don't choose a horrible weakness. And when you state your weakness, describe it in ways that shows you have thought about it, are aware of it, and are working on either fixing it or putting yourself in situations where others help compensate for it. For example, "a weakness I have is organization, which is why I like working in groups, so that others can provide me with more organized structure, and thus allow me to more effectively contribute to the group's work."

Nobody can answer that for you. Only you know what your weakness is. In an interview, it is important to be honest, give a real weakness, but turn it into a positive.

I like some of the humerous ideas above, but when you have to come back from the laugh and be serious...

Answer honestly, but also say how you over come this problem. How it may work in your favor occasionally. How you compensate for it in other areas. Try to pick something that is not an essential component of the job you are applying for. and Pick something...so you don't look like you think you're perfect..nobody is.

I find it difficult to remember peoples names. I try to write down the names of people I meet so that I can glance over them when I know I will be seeing them again in a meeting. I keep my address book organized in a way that I can find peoples information even when I can't remember their name.

I would come up with something silly and light, nothing too personal or revealing. After all, interviewers sometimes are looking for other things in their questions beyond the obvious, such as your ability to be spontaneous, your sense of humor, your response time to the question etc.
This question is an excellent oportunity to use humor and break the tension.

You could say this:
"I think I'm too much of a perfectionaist, so I want everything I do to be perfect and if it isn't I really feel weak-minded.

i am too hard on myself...i expect a lot out of myself

i don't care what other people think of me

i try too hard to make sure everyone is doing their job

don't call into question any skill sets unless they are not needed for the job...make it a personal thing, i work so hard that i sometimes forget the little things...don't come off as incompetent, just driven...
