I had this problem with a Vauxhall, and it was dirt in the throttle valve was causing it. The dirt was stopping the valve from opening properly. I hope this helps you.

more information needed on age of vehicle and engine tyre. if it's old tyre with perkins primera 80 engine it's a good chance that the value clearances have closed up and are holding the values open when engine is hot special jigs are needed to reset these as cam caps are part of rocker cover hence they never get ajusted as most workshops havent got the jigs

Raymond check the inline fuel filter .This is common on diesel motors ,also check a sample of fuel for contamination ie:water or sediment .Get your fuel in an another garage for comparison tests .good luck.

I think these engines are intercooled. Check the intercooler pipework, one of the pipes could have come astray or have a bit of damage to it thus causing your problem.
Is there any smoke coming from the exhaust? If so, what colour?
