Recently it has been cold. when I try to start my blazer it takes 20 -30 times be for it will start. It's a 93 blazer, vortec moter. I have 76 lb at the rail, have replaced the coolent temp sensor. After it starts it's ok. good power, no stalling, no hesitation and will start right up after it has been started. Only when I let it sit four about five hours or longer in cold wheather is it hard starting. At also has good spark at the plugs.

Check if your fuel pressure is actually too high for that engine. It might actually be flooding the engine while it sits for awhile causing the need to crank for so long to start. The fuel regulator might be bad allowing too much pressure to the fuel rail.

Could be a bad sensor somewhere. Take it to AutoZone; they will scan the computer for free. It wouldn't automatically be the coolant temp sensor, it could be any number of sensors. Better to have it scanned for free than replace good sensors and waste your money. Hope you get it to "srart".

could be that the fuel injection is losing its prime due to the cold weather.....before you start it try this......turn the key to the on position but dont try to start it...the fuel pump will click on....leave it in the on position for abuot 5 seconds....turn the key back...and then do this about 3 or 4 times....this will prime the fuel injection system and then try starting it....it may work, its worth a try

when was the last time you changed the gas filter?also after you leave it sit for a long time,it gives it a chance to draw damp.if its got a dist.cap, take it off and spray some wd40 in it.that will dissapate the moisture in the cap.
