Honestly....You are scaring the heck out of me....Mine is only 7 and somedays!!!....ARGGGG.....My friends only comment is "Just wait" or "Enjoy her now!"......I also have a 13 year old boy right now who seems to enjoy smelling horrible, bathing once a week weather he needs it or not...lol...Not brushing his teeth or hair, I am not sure he completely understands the meaning of the wonderful smelly stuff I place in his bathroom (we refer to it as deodorant! and thought we explained it to him...Perhaps we were only dreaming!)....And his room...OH...his room....I can't remember what color the carpet was a year ago.....Hope fully this all will pass and we will all come out of it alive!!...Seems our parents did!!...And we turned out "Just Fine"....Try to keep your chin up and remember: you can still hide in the bathroom with the door locked if you need to...That is perfectly acceptable behavior...lol...ss

You sound like my mother!!
I'm 19 now and out on my own though so things are good. But I tell you, I only got worse...I swear my mom wanted to kill me somedays! I just didn't obey, talked back, and then would flip the story around and tell my dad. haha.
I was the all time worse teen ever!!
If only my mom had a yahoo account so she could tell you all the terrors of raising me!

I thought that was the nature of teenagers. I don't have kids but having been a teenager in the not so distant past, I recall driving my parents nuts at one time or another. Most of my friends at that time in their lives did the same thing-some more than others.

Not much you can do. Buy a set of luggage, mark off 730 days on one of those multi-year calenders, and start ticking the days off one by one.
And tell the boys if they act anything like their sister they're going to boot camp.

Ohhh boy!!! I'm a teenager too, and I understand that we can be hell. But put yourself in her postion maybe ask her whats going on in her life...maybe shes getting picked on, shes not "in". Really we dont MEAN to make our parents life hell it just happends...If she acts like I child treat her like one, if she acts like an adult treat her like one. All in all. Remember that she loves you no matter what you gave her life. Hopefully if shes the typically female..she'll grow out of it! We're not bad forever!

dont be so stressed out over it. Teenage girls think they are old enough to be independent. Remember they mature faster, but it doesnt mean all their decisions are right. Just make sure you are there for her when she needs you. Otherwise, right now, she's going to shape herself for her future by trial and error. Just let her be, but be strict when needed.

she's 16.... okay... think of all the stress you put on your parents when you were her age.... it's normal for her to act out... it should stop by the time she's 18 ... and if it's that bad... boot camp or juvie

Yes, my husband and I got into it this morning because we have asked our 18 year old son to clean his room and he has not done it yet, so I get yelled at. I'm about to throw his *ss out.

I hope you dont tell her that.
She needs some extra curricular activities or a job. Maybe both.
