I have four angelfish in my tropical tank and I REALLY want an African Dwarf frog. Problem is, the anglefish are constantly scrapping at each other and somethimes they even chase our mollies and gouramis. It seems to me like the little dwarf frogs could be an easy target for the angelfish, but I don't know much about frogs. So would they bother a frog?

Tankmates that would not be suitable are fish that are nippy (Tiger Barbs), are aggressive and/or have large mouths (most cichlids and any large fish that is capable of consuming a small frog), or stake out their own territory on the substrate (loaches/catfish). Fish that are suitable include most peaceful community fish: tetras, rasboras, otocinclus, corydoras sp., gouramis, bettas, etc.

If your angels are exhibitng that type of behaviour, they are trying to tell you something. How big is your tank? Angelfish are territorial, but they should almost never bother other fish or each other unless they are spawning or if the tank is too small. With 4 angels and some mollies and gouramis I would expect your tank to be no smaller than 60 gallons. If your tank is smaller than that, it would result in undue aggression.

Anyway, I would not get an ADF. The angels and other fish are unlikely to even notice them, but a tank big enough for 4 angels and other fish will be too deep for an ADF to be comfortable. ADFs are air breathers, so they have to swim to the surface every time they want to take a breath; so really, anything thalling than 14" is too tall.
