I just bought an Iomega external hard drive for my laptop, which is a Dell Inspiron. It allows me to transfer files to the external hard drive, but when I try to transfer a large file to the external hard drive, it tells me I do not have enough space. I have 300GB of space on the external hard drive open right now.

The files I am trying to transfer are recorded television shows I recorded using microsoft windows media edition. They range from 4GB - 6GB in size. Can anyone tell me why this will not let me transfer these files from my C: to me E:? Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well the first you should do is format your drives. Then actually make sure that you have enough space (I know this sounds kinda annoying, but do it anyway). Finally, don't export the entire thing as one huge block. Send folder by folder, or show by show.
Hope this helps.
