Talk to your pediatrician to make sure there's nothing wrong with his aednoids or tonsils. He's much too young for bad breath!

As Heather said- it could be reflux. You really should mention it to his pediatrician. It is possible that he already has tooth decay, or it could be something different like a fungal infection in his throat. My son suffered from reflux as a baby and had very strange bad breath in the morning- he has 6 crowns on his teeth now to protect his teeth from further decay- it was traumatic all around. Best to have it checked out.

If you regularly brush your baby's teeth, and he still has bad breath, you may want to bring the issue up to his pediatrician. It could be some form of reflux that allows gases to come back up from the stomach, which will cause the bad breath that is unable to be gotten rid of by regular brushings.

If your child has bad breath at this age, you need to consult either his pediatrician or a pediatric dentist. Bad breath can be caused by a lot of things, but given that you brush his teeth, it's unlikely to be food related. It could indicate a sinus problem or more serious health issue. Please bring it up to your childs doctor.

Babies do NOT have bad breath. If they do it is a sign that there is something wrong. One baby I knew had bad breath and the cause was a toy shoved up his nose! You need to call your doctor.

You should make sure that you never put anything in his mouth that has been in your mouth (i.e. no sharing spoons, don't take a lick of his sucker {well, he's still to young for that}, don't clean his pacifier off by putting it in your mouth). When you do that, you transfer bad breath bacteria, and cavity causing bacteria, from your mouth to his.

Is he constipated at all? Is his stool soft?
he needs to get his toxins out - water and broccoli and dried apricots should do it.
Greens and water clean and dried fruits regulate and soften
