Look at the cell phone for instance. It's practically brand new. It only came out about a decade ago....and it was HUGE. Now look at it, it's so tiny and so light.

I would think Nanotechnology, stem cell research and innovations in the medical healthcare industry would be something we Americans could advance in, that might actually be practical.

We don't need anymore e-waste, like said cell phone/mp3/camera/GPS/laser pointer/mirror/lip gloss container junk. Lewis Black said it best, we don't create new technology, we just combine old crap. :)

I would expect a new form of fuel with the recent oil crisis and global warming -- the government will start funding programs and may switch to necular energy or natural energy.

It will be a cell phone again, except it is multiple functions. It will be so convenient that it is beyond your imagination.
