Considering Bosnia, was Clinton a better war president?
George H.W. Bush was a better war president too in my opinion. During wartime and peacetimes, both presidents had far less scandals and far less failures than our current president.

Okay, I am professional Army Officer. I have either been training for war or fighting our Nation's wars for over 18 years. The current Commander In Chief is cleaning up the previous Commander In Chief's errors. First Clinton absolutely decimated the military. His military cuts made it impossible for Bush to committ the troops needed and still be able to cover other contingencies in the world. Next, while I will not say that Clinton policy caused 911, he certainly contributed to 911. Clinton showed the world that the US would cut and run in Somolia. He showed the world that when there was real danger, he would not deploy ground troops- Kosovo. This created an environment which contributed to 911. Next, in regard to Iraq. Iraq violated the cease fire agreement of Desert Storm over 20 times while Clinton was President. Just to clear the air, a violated cease fire agreement is an act of war. Clinton responded with a few missles and Bush responded with force. I have been to Iraq three times now. The Iraqi people are better off today than they were before we removed their aggressive a destablizing government. The problems that we have had in Iraq are directly linked to the military force structure inherited by Bush. Next, the media shows what it wants. Failure and carnage sells. Could you imagine the outcry in the US during WWII if we had the 24 hour news cycle? Of course people were different then- they had a sense of duty unlike most today. Has Bush made some errors? Sure, but they are nothing compared to what Clinton did. Because of Clinton, Bush is having a play a baseball game with four players on the team rather than the nine that should be there. You mentioned Bosnia. Comparing Bosnia to the Global War on Terrorism is like comparing a Yugo to a BMW. Sure, they are both cars, but after that the similarity ends. My suggestion to you is that you actually pick up some books at the local library and read about what has been done to your military in the eight years under Clinton. I personally think that history will judge W to be one of our better Presidents and Clinton will be that guy that did not have sex with that woman.

Neither of them had anything of the magnitude of what President Bush is fighting. Bush 1 had an in-out 6 day thing that made a lot of people think that is the way wars are fought these days. Clinton bombed a baby aspirin factory!! If either one of them had taken on the terrorist thing, 9/11 would have been avoided and we would have been years ahead in cleaning up this terrorist mess. G. Bush 1 didn't have so many scandals but Clinton's entire political life has been one scandal to another. The press loved him and people ignored his lack of character. What is the definition of success/failure? According to who your talking to. Most of the 'failures' have been media generated. Our President and our Troops are doing a nasty, necessary job. They need our support, not to be run down at every turn by people that don't really know what is going on over there--- or behind the scenes over here for that matter. Wars shouldn't be fought on talk shows,by politicians wanting to be popular or by bias media.

Clinton a war President ... Don't make me laugh !! Need a reminder...
When war erupted in the former Yugoslavia in 1991, the U.S. kept its distance. “We do not have a dog in that fight,” Secretary of State James Baker said at the time. When war spread from Serbia and Croatia to Bosnia in 1992, Democratic Party candidate Bill Clinton attacked the Bush administration for its aloofness, urging swift intervention on the side of the Bosnians (“Bosnians,” here and below, refers to Muslims, Serbs, Croats, and others who live in Bosnia and believe in a unified country). While failing to resolve the Bosnian crisis, the U.S. did contribute to containing the conflict, by providing troops for a UN “tripwire” force deployed in Macedonia and helping to prevent Greece from escalating conflicts with both Macedonia and Turkey. Croat military operation retook rebel Serb areas in the Krajina, a joint Bosnian-Croat offensive reduced Serb control of Bosnia from 70 to 50 percent, then the US negotiated an end of fighting, the Clinton administration calimed foreign policy victory and strengthened the president’s hand going into an election year!!!
