Towards the end of my marriage I would have sex but I would not kiss him. I just realized this. Is it because kissing is THAT personal? I mean it's swapping spit, food, germs, breath (you get the pic). But sex is so intimate too, I just can do anybody, I need to have feelings. I think I just had sex with my sex out of comfort even though I didn't love him anymore. What do you guys think about kissing vs. having sex without having feelings?

Kissing is more personal for sure. Sex you can just go through the motions but kissing is more intimate.

Kissing is intimate. Sex should be, but you can disconnect in a way you can't with a kiss. I've been where you are - my ex and I had sex until we split, even though we knew it was over. We both just wanted the release - and it was familiar. Better than getting it elsewhere. "Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't"

Not trying to be crass or rude, but you don't kiss a prostitute. Kissing is generally disgusting unless you have intimate feelings for someone. Women have sex with guys they don't like all the time.

If you're asking what is more intimate, kissing or intercourse, I'd have to say kissing... funny how unmarried people can kiss but not f***. Kissing doesn't even count as adultery.

P.S. "What is worse???????" You really don't have a high regard for sex, do you?

I think kissing brings on the passion for each other. If you have mindless sex usually you don't kiss. It's just sex. So yes I think kissing is more personal.

Sex can be intimiate, depending on how you feel about the person, but with kissing....that's far more intimate.
