Ive noticed sometimes the little ball on my mouse seems to stick sometimes. It doesnt actually stay in one place but it quits moving the screen up and down when I need it to. I have to mess with it a little bit for it to start working again. Anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

Rollerball on top I mean, sorry...the tiny one that you move with your finger.

Mac mice don't have a rollerball on the underside. do you mean the small roller ball on the top of the Mac mighty mouse? i would take a smooth cloth and rub the ball. use a TINY bit of water if it seems sticky. ...if its not dirty remember that the Mighty Mouse roller ball doesn't do the same thing in each program, so keep that in mind.

It's called mouse bellybutton lint. If you pop the ball out you will see little rollers. Lint collects on those rollers and lets the wheel stay motionless while the band of lint spins back and forth, back and forth. Use a dull knife, like a letter opener to scrape off the ring of gray residue. To fix it permanently, buy a laser-optical mouse at Office Depot, Walmart or Curcuit City that works with your vintage of Mac (see if you can USB connect, if not USB make sure the mouse will have the right plug for your Mac).
