I am worried because I will be trying to become a pharmacist. My semesters entail alot of chemistry, physics and algebra. I feel that I have forgotten alot since graduating H.S. Looking for any suggestions on getting me ready and preparing me for these classes. Thanks

When you sign up for your classes, they'll give you a list of required texts for each class, run to the book store and get the books and review, review, review. You might also consider going to a book store like Barnes and Noble and buying a book or two that can help refresh your memory. Lastly, you might consider getting yourself a tutor, explain your apprehension and have them run you through a few math/chemistry skills tests. Your guidance consellor will probably also review your transcripts and have you take a placement test.

The school will give you a placement test. Depending on your score you may have to take a couple of development math courses before you take the math courses that are required for your degree. I went back at the age of 35 and had to take 2 development maths before the one I actually needed for degree. The math isn't the same as it was when I was in school (class of "88"). Good luck, you'll probley benefit from a tutor also. I know I did!

they will test you to see what your level is before you start. Go for it.
