I have just been diagnosed with a life threatening genetic disease that typically kills off people in their early thirties (im 29) and the pathetic thing is that I have nobody to tell, apart from you wonderful people - no family, no close friends or partner. Lol. You just have laugh at these things. Rapists and murderers have a better social network than me. I am beginning to wonder what went wrong.

I used too, but I changed my attitude and now I try to live with no regrets.....do what you need to do, don't sit on the computer and lose yourself in this fantasy world, take advantage of the time you have and go out and enjoy the real world!

Everyone has regrets. Everyone in the whole world has done things they are not proud of or not enough of what they are proud of. Your life is NOT over. Go out and meet some people, maybe make some friends. You have been given a chance. A chance to live life to the fullest. Most people who pass on in their thirties have no warning, are taken by car accident, or freak happinstance. (Piano falls from above, etc.) Don't waste your last years wondering what could have been when you could make something good happen now. Don't give up. EVER.

stop worrying about what went wrong and just focus on what you can do to make it all go right. I am 19 and have a heart problem that leaves me completely unconcious at random points in the day, I could go into cardiac arrest at any moment. I could absolutely hate the world, but that simply isn't worth my time, find something to live for. I know it sounds a little weird and churchy, but maybe its time to find god, He and Christ will be better friends in hard times than any of the people you listed. Good luck and God Bless!
BTW, if you are really interested in finding the truth about God, I could maybe help a bit, sickness is a tough thing, I know, but there are ways to get through it.

If we change our thinking habits, we can achieve a state in which we do not consider our life in terms of "regret". It requires some mental work but it pays very well.
I have trained myself not to regret things, it makes life lighter but does not prevent one from being sometimes sad about some things in the past.
Could you be an exception in that disease ? People have cured from serious diseases so why wouldn't you be that exception too.
I believe you could, and so please follow me! Take care!!

Keep being you, we need more people like you.

You might want to volunteer with whatever non-profit is helping people with your disease. You'll meet lots of other good people who understand what you're going through.

Good luck.

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I will pray for you. But you need to unplug your computer and get out and live what you have left. Good luck.
