can having two abortions and one miscarriage have severe effect on trying to have children in the future?

trying to conceive for a year and nothing yet, could it be me and my past that's not allowing me to conceive?

Assuming there were no complications with either, then no, they shouldn't have any effect on trying to conceive now.

However, this is really a question your doctor is much better qualified to answer, because he/she knows your medical history. A bunch of people off the internet don't know that.

Also, assuming you're healthy, taking a year to conceive is not all that uncommon. If there's some medical reason (including some STD's) that would make you think there would be a problem, check with your doctor. Some doctors will want to start infertility treatments after a year of unprotected sex, others will want to wait. Alot also depends on your age, and again, medical history.

So, go see your doctor if you're really concerned, just your gynocologist will be fine. If you haven't been in a year, you probably should have a pap smear done before getting pregnant anyway.

Good luck!

did you have a D&C with your miscarriage? Each subsequent D&C whether it be from miscarriage or abortion does increase scar tissue.

A way to think of this is that your utuerus has a sort of 'fluffy' lining. Each time you have a D&C, some scarring can occur causing that area of the uterus to be smooth (like the inside of your cheek). This makes implantation a bit more tricky because there is not as much area to implant. Hope this makes sense.

I do know a gal who had 6 D&C's and has been told she can no longer have children. However I do know women who have had several of them and have conceived. Just really depends upon how much scarring there is.

Take a look for information on Asherman's Syndrome. It is fairly common in women with multiple D&Cs and there are specialists who can help.

Abortions can cause scare tissue. The misscarriage you may want to discuss with your doc.

A very close friend - who had prior abortions - was recently told that she had a U-shaped uterus and that was causing miscarriages. Depending on your age they may not test you but push it. Testing done early will head off heartache later.

Those things do make trouble for future pregnancy but trust me you would probably already know. Try talking to a doctor and explain to them that you want to conceive and they can tell you for sure if it's that or something else. Good-Luck!!!

A miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion. It may be you you an undiagnosed STD one of the rare ones that may prevent conception. It would talk it over with a specialist.

So killing one baby wasn't enough for you?

OF COURSE it is your past that is affecting your ability to concieve. Abortions not only brutally murder a baby, it causes severe damage to the womans reproductive system and can significantly increase the risk of other diseases.

Embryos are Babies! Abortion is Murder!

Abortion will decrease your chances of conceiving:
