How could a well-respected actor best known for "Chicago Hope" and "Ally McBeal" leave such a high-rated CBS series?...and why?
It's not just to play a Presidential aide on "24" this season...there has to be a better reason...

Just went on Wikipedia.com and it directed me to his "unofficial" website, which explained that he's STILL a regular on "Numb3rs", while playing a corrupt presidential aide on this season of Fox's "24"...
He may return for the May 20 episode of "Numb3rs'(right in the middle of the May ratings sweeps period...

I don't know, but I don't care for him on "24." He's too recognizable. I think it's better when lesser-known actors are featured on "24."
