That McKnight kid from New Orleans.

yes but not because of only McKnight...because the avearage rating of every player signed so far is 4.22 out of 5...because USC returns 10 starters on defense...and because Pete Carroll is the greatest college football coach of all time!!! he could take Orange Coast Junior College to the national championship!!

**side note** if the NCAA does find Bush guilty of taking gifts, can you really say OK deserves the title after a 55-19 spanking??? taking money doesnt make you a better player, it just makes you a poor decision maker. r bush would have been the same dynamic player with or without the gifts. for everyone who talks ish, think back to when you were 18-20...if someone offered you money, fame and fortune...would/could you easily turn that down???????? dont be so naive as to think EVERY major team in Div 1 doesnt do the same thing...

I dont know. That McKnight kid is good, but he's not gonna be great in his freshman season. Maybe by the time he's a junior he'll be as good as Reggie Bush. Having said that there still is a problem. On the last two times USC has reached the national championship they had Leinart. Now Booty is good but USC is not going to win the National Championship, because they still do not have a solid running game, Dwayne Jarrett is gone, and their defense is still a little shaky. Maybe in a couple years if they can get a good QB to replace Booty.

hi there with all the haters!!?! USC isn't any diverse style the different college software except their driving the horse immediately. Nebraska had their time, so did Miami. all the belongings you pronounced above is inappropriate. Sexual assult? are you severe. for sure you've not in any respect been an athlete at a D1 college. Hell a proper prep athlete at that. the in hardship-free words element that even registers on the following is the Reggie Bush element. What you fail to understand is that that had not something to do with USC. it grow to be about a unfavorable youngster and his relatives wanting an strengthen on that destiny verify. regrettably Bush should be the reason the USC dynasty ends. They dont cheat. Carrol is going as a lot as adult adult males and says "you may be a starter contained in the NFL from our bench." (see Cassel and Lendale White)

Maybe but it will get taken away once they get busted for paying all their players. Joe Mcknights signing is the proof in the pudding. Seriously, why would a kid from Lousiana, not go to LSU, who is a national championship contending team and he could play right away, and go to USC while they just signed marc tyler the #2 running back and they still have emmanuel moody, broderick green, c.j. gable, stafon johnson at running back. That makes no sense. Even if he gets the node to start, he will have to share with like 7 other backs.

Still gotta play the games. I am sure the boys in the SEC, Big 12, Big 10, will have a lot to say about that. No doubt, it gives them a better shot.
He's not the next Reggie, just like Marcus Allen was not the next OJ. In the end, its always the team that plays the best. Better teams win championships not necessarily better players. Just ask Boise St and Florida.

USC will always have a winning season because of the weak division they are in. However as long as Pete Carroll is the head coach they will always be a threat to win the championship. All they need is his leadership to continue there success...Mcknight does not hurt him either though.

Yes, Pete Carroll is a recruiting God. They also have a committment from another top RB prospect (Marc Tyler) that would have ranked above Joe McKnight if he hadn't had knee surgery.

No. I have watch him play in person several times and while he is VERY good, I don't think that he is near the caliber of Reggie Bush. He is a great athlete but he is not very intelligent.

If the NCAA institutes a playoff system then no, they will not have one in the near future.

However if the BCS pulls a fast one by leaving the undefeated AU tigers out of the title game then they have a shot

No because if the BCS picks a team like they did this year from the SEC no other team will have a chance in the title game.
