what's the best way to clean a nalgene bottle?

I would like to know the best way to clean a nalgene bottle since u can't get your hand through the opening.

I had spots of mold growing in mine. You can put yours through the dishwasher but since I had stickers on it, I thought the heat from the dishwasher would affect the adhesive on the stickers. So one method I used was to put 1/4 water and then soap and drop in a kitchen sponge and then shake the bottle. That seemed to do the trick, but the heat from the dishwasher would help sterilize my bottle. I boiled some water and poured it into my Nalgene and repeated the shaking progress. My Nalgene is fine now and is mold free.

For a thorough cleaning, fill part way with hot water and dish washing liquid or baking soda and insert a clean dish cloth. Stick in a fork and use it to move and swish the cloth around until all surfaces have been cleaned and then run it through the dish washer on the top rack.

Yes it's perfectly safe as a matter of fact Nalgene has a dropper(same material) that is designed for many fluids, h2o2 is one of them. Be careful if you leave it in the bottle for a while, that no one takes a drink.

according to their website (http://www.nalgene-outdoor.com), you can put them in the top rack of the dishwasher.
if you don't have a dishwasher, get a 'baby-bottle' brush to clean them--you can find those at most grocery stores.
