Based on the vast majority of anti-Bush questions, it doesn't seem like it. Most of those asking questions from an anti-Bush perspective seem determined to destroy him, his family, and every one who ever thought about supporting him.

The Republican's did the same thing when Clinton was president. And you have to wonder, is this the political process that really serves the best interest of the American People?

Yes and I don't think it does serve the American people as party politics has gotten more and more devisive and purely hateful.

It seems to me that Obama's appeal to many is a departure from this and they don't care if the man has any qualifications for the job or not.

When there are people with such a deep hatred of a person, all bets are off. Nothing has to be "true", it just has to be hate-filled, and the more hate filled, the better. Pretty sad. I think we are in for a LOT of this with the 2008 elections.

What President Bush did is to bring on the "demonizing process " himself by holding himself out as a "family values", "moral" candidate. He led people to believe with his election all the jaded, cynical, Washington types would be gone. This is an interesting incident showing on a small scale what he did. When the first few dribbles of the Valerie Plame leak, came out he said any leakers would be fired. After additional information came out and the investigation focused on secret testimony of people extremely close to the President, Scooter Libby and Karl Rove, he changed his tune to, if any laws were broken , they would be fired. So all his and Karl Rove's sales jobs were for nothing, people figured out they were as bad or worse(the hypocrisy factor) than the people they replaced. He brought on the demonizing with his holier than thou sales pitch.

There is a big difference. Most of those opposed, at least here are just blind to that fact.

Waiting for the day that a war starts and the sides will be Democrat and Republican....that will be a bad day indeed.
