Frog legs, squab, rattle snake, and alligator, are often described as tasting like ordinary chicken - in fact lots of weird sounding things. I have only tasted frog legs, and they tasted like chewy, bland chicken.

Long pig doesn't taste like chicken, it tastes like pork.

If I knew what the "it" was, I am sure I could help you more.
