i am a toyota girl myself however i am planning on getting the whole family car deal this summer. i really like the look of the mazda 6 sport wagon. i have read good things about the look and driveability of the car however i have heard conflicting reviews about the reliability and quality of the car itself. i also do not know much about mazdas reliability and quality of workmanship in general. does anyone have a mazda or know about mazdas, particularly this model if possible. can you tell me if you've had problems with it breaking down, needing work, etc.? thanks!

When you ask a Q like this, you will get a handful of answerers & opinions of experiences.
I will post the most recent results of a study by J.D.Powers & Associates.
This is an ongoing study & is published anually.
They collect data on THOUSANDS of vehicles.
The study is of vehicles on the road for 3 years.
The data recorded is based on how many times the vehicles are in the repair shop over the 1st 3 years on the road. (not related to maintenance, ie oil change, tire rotation etc)
This will determine the "reliability" factor of any manufacturer.

Im gonna Copy&Paste a previous answer for you:

properly the Wagon is a 5 passenger motorcar, at the same time as the CX-9 is a 7 passenger not 8 like stupid flanders misinformed you. i ought to flow for the CX-9. they have huge rebates immediately, so its a stunning good time to purchase. also they don't make the Mazda 6 wagon any better. They havent on account that 2006.

mazdas are actually quite awesome both in performance and in relability. check with consumer reports - i think all the mazdas are CR best buys. mazda is really pushing the performance envelope when compared to honda or toyota. where toyota has almost totally done away with their performance lines, mazda has taken the opposite road and almost all their cars carry some type of performance version. i say buy - but check out consumer reports its a necessity when buying any car
