Depends on if you're a conspiracy theorist or not.
If you ARE then the answer is obvious. G Bush ordered the CIA to shoot down our OWN helicopters to gain waning sympathy and support for the war. These are the same agents that coordinated the planes flying into the Twin Towers. As you so keenly noted, soon he will be claiming the Iranians and North Koreans are doing it so he can invade them too.
If you're not, then - people with guns. Good luck with finding the REAL answer!!
Whichever one is correct you'll be sure to get the REAL answer from Wolf Blitzer on CNN. The paragon of honesty and truth.

Many people are jumping to conclusions about this spate of shootings. The BBC isn't speculating too much but CNN World are talking about Iranians, new missile systems etc.
The most probable reason is that after so many years, certain Iraqis are getting good at shooting helicopters. The RPG is a good anti-helicopter weapon in very highly skilled hands. There may be a handful of aspiring 'aces' who have learned this ability.
Also with the concentration of 80% of the effort in Baghdad helicopter movements are getting more frequent and perhaps predictable in certain corridors in those areas.

Gee get a grip... the news will tell you if anyone claims the incident or if its mechanical failure.. and goodness forbid those sweet humanitarian Iranians get blamed for anything..especially those weapons made in Iran in 2006 that were taken off some captured insurgents...wonder how that happened???

Not sure, but it's funny how much the violence has picked up since the new Democratic congress stepped in to challenge Bush on his policy regarding Iraq, isn't it? It's almost as if someone is saying, Hey...guys, things are really bad there; so...um..let's let the President do whatever he wants, m'kay? I ain't fallin' for it!
BLUERIDGE: I'm a liberal sweetie, I think BUSH (or those who support his interests) have something to do with the increase; a way to convine congress to be more cooperative with him.

Our Pilots are highly trained and very qualified. I think that the enemy is using all that money that disappeared and are buying more sophisticated weapons.

The cause of many of the crashes has not yet been revealed, so don't jump to conclusions. More often than not, our own pilots crash our helicopters, so...... don't jump to conclusions.
