I like Brett.... He's a total class act, a great competitor and he epitimizes how a professional athlete SHOULD act. I think this season is definitely his last season, and it very well should be. He's won the "big game", set records and continues to pursue more records. However, his staying for another season just leaves Aaron Rodgers on the bench freezing his cajones off at Lambeau Field and growing one more year older. The Pack should definitely let Favre chase some more records and have a farewell tour, but not at the expense of stumping the development of Aaron Rodgers as their franchise Quarterback.

Ok, It seems like the main reason most people say Brett Favre should retire is that it is hindering the development of Aaron Rodgers. Even if I hated Favre(which I don't), you have to look at this so called "franchise quarterback". The guy filled in for two quarters of regular season play this year. Two quarters in two years and he got injured for the season. I don't know about you, but to me it looks like the Ironman is looking pretty lucrative. Who says Aaron Rodgers would help develop the team? We already know Favre is making a horrible team better. He took one of the worst teams in the league to a mediocre record. Now watch him take a mediocre team to the playoffs.

I hate the packers but Brett Favre is a hall of famer and if he is up to the challenge, then there is no reason why he shouldn't come back. He is perfectly capable of playing and bringing the packers back to the post season. He needs the administration to bring him some better talent around him especially with the o-line.

Bad...The packers are going nowhere with or without Farve. At some point Green Bay needs to see if A Rodgers can play. He needs to play somewhere he has a shot a championship or retire. When does Rodgers become a free agent? Hate lose Farve and Rodgers the same year and be looking at an offensive rebuild. How long is green gonna play. Who's your next TE and QB. And hope those G's get better. Farve may stay long enough for Madden to turn on him.

Favre coming decrease back is a physically powerful element and anyone who says Favre sucks is ignorant via fact he remains have been given a sprint some thing. individually, i do no longer think of Arron Rodgers is in a position to flow in simple terms yet, he desires a sprint greater time. Plus, be easy, who fairly observed the Packers going 8-8 with a shot on the playoffs. something of the gang is somewhat youthful and commencing as much as develope. they do no longer elect a sparkling QB, yet they do want yet another objective for Favre. this might take rigidity off motive force and grant yet another decision for Brett. they might desire to additionally concentration on the O-line in later rounds and doubtless attempt to get a RB from FA> Bottomline is that he's no longer in basic terms a good participant, yet he's likewise the face of the franchise and no person is in a position to take that place. i think of at last Hawk would fulfill that place for canopy, yet no person on offense can grow to be the face of the franchise.

Good thing for their backup quarterback, Favre needs to hang it up after this season. I dont know if its going to be bad or good that he is coming back, if the team picks up some people to help him then they can make the playoffs. If the team remains as it is now, they will suffer another season without the playoffs as a reward.

Time for good old Brett to retire has gone by two years ago. Now he is just hanging on, and the Packers will also just hang on till they can rebuild with a new quarterback. Brett should definitely retire NOW!!

Chow!!

good thing for the packers next year only
he really is helping the team alot. however the one thing he said to the media alot, and the one thing i don't believe is that he said that he wants to come back to play the game and help his team, and it is not for any records. in my opinion his major motivation really is 1) superbowl again, but that is unlikely and 2) beat records.

help his team is great and all, but the packers really should try to get accustomed now to having a QB thats NOT Bret Favre. in the long run he's acutally hurting the team and it's growth just so he can pursue records, because honestly Green Bay is not going to the superbowl next year.

I cannot stand the guy and wish he would leave. He is the football equivalent of a lot of boxers over the years that never make up their minds to leave the sport. This will be the third year in a row that "may be his last." After his little tears a falling exit at the conclusion of the season, I am just done.
