I've been looking for a board and I found one I like but it is a 5150 and I haven't heard a lot about that brand.

Burton is not the top brand, and im sick of reading that on these posts, out of all of the awesome company's out there it is impossible to name a company the best. 5150 is based off of ride and owned by ride, and ride and burton are made in the same factory, so im gonna go ahead and say that 5150 are descent, they are not made up to the high standards as ride or burton but they are solid enough for a casual snowboarder.....

5150 is a beginner board brand. Its decent and will probably last you 2 or 3 seasons. Burton is not the best brand out there. There are a lot of better brands like Arbor, Ride, and Rome. Burton makes good stuff but be prepared to pay up the wazoo for it.

5150- while it may not be the best brand..it is much more affordable than other companies. What you pay for is what you get pretty much. If you're just looking for a board for the sake of boarding, and at an affordable price you should get it. If you want something that'll last longer and offer better technology then spring for a different board..not necessarily burton, but k2, ride, neversummer, rome, atomic..etc..they're all good.

Not really. You get what you pay for, and in their case you get a board that's ok for a beginner to beat up for a year or two. If you've never boarded before, I'd suggest renting a board until you get a feel for the sport, then if you're confident you'll keep it up, spend the extra couple hundred bucks to get a board that you can grow with. Some great brands include Forum, Rome, Libtech, Burton, and Never Summer... just to name a few!

5150 is a well made board and unlike Burton or K2 it is actually affordable, of course performance wise it won't match up to the likes of Burton, but it is alot better than other boards of the same price.

worth the money.

Yeah they are pretty good and good value for money. The most important thing is that it is the right board for you and your style of riding. When you say youve founed one you like what do you like about it the graffics?. If thats the only thing that attracted you to it maybe you should have a rethink. On the other hand if you went to a decent snowboard shop that sells many different brands, and this perticular board was recommended for you due to your level and style of riding you should go for it.

they aren't a good company. They are a lower line of Ride snowboards. But they are cheaper than say Burton.
