how do i get downy stains out of the clothes that have been wash an dryer?

Re-wash the clothes in cold water w/2 cups plain white vinegar poured into the water. That should get the downy out.

Wet the garment and rub a bit of liquid laundry detergent or a bar of white soap into the stained area. Then wash using the hottest water that's safe for the fabric. Air dry.
