Firstly take all her clothes off, leave just a vest and a nappy, get a face cloth and wet it with lukewarm water, and dab it all over her body.
Phone NHS direct for further help,

That is a very low grade temperature, don't worry, everything is alright. Babies spit up it's one of the things they are really good at. Just don't over dress her and keep her happy. Crying can cause her temperature to spike a bit.
It might be difficult to take a rectal temperature and they hate it anyway. Just take it axillary, add about a degree to the reading and that is the actual temperature. DO NOT give her a cool or warm bath right now, that can worsen things. Call your Dr. speak with the nurse and I am sure it will all be alright.
Good luck!!!!

If you are giving something for fever Motrin is best for the first dose then Tylenol and Morton.....you get the idea. Ask the pharmacist about dosage.

No that isn't a high temp. for her age, just keep her cool and you might want to lay off the formula or breast milk till she sees the doctor tonight. Luke warm water is fine and don't let her drink to much. This will cut down the spitting up. If she is not feeling well the milk might be upsetting her stomach. Pacifying her crying will be the biggest task. It could be an ear infection so rocking might make it worse. Take a stroll around the house with her might easy some of the fussiness.

It depends on how you took the temp. Was it rectal? If so, you must subtract an entire degree making it 98.3. Was it axillary (under the arm) ? If so you must add a degree making it 100.3.
Was it tempatic (in the ear and not very reliable)? If so then try one of the other methods.
That 99.3 is not considred a temp in babies that size. Is she over dressed? Try giving her a bath to sort of cool her off a bit. WARM water not cool.
Otherwise, just continue as you are and take her temp to make sure it doesn't go up.
You'll know what to do. I know it's difficult being a new mom.

Hey girl don't have a heart attack. Calm down. Believe it or not a baby can handle a temp higher then adults can. In the mean time go to the store and get tylonol or something similar for infants for fevers. She is 4 weeks so give her 0.3mL I believe every 4 to 6hrs to keep the fever down till u can get her to the docs. on the dropper should be lines with #'s make sure it is the first line at the very tip of the dropper. Stick the drooper in the cheek not to far back but half way and squeez it in.Make sure you keep her hydrated!!

99.3 is a LOW grade fever. Dont panic. If it makes you feel better call up to the hospital and ask to speak with the nurse. She will ease your fears and tell you how to make baby more comfortable.

You should have been breast feeding all along
get an accurate temp - it matters more that she acts sick than the temp - go to httpwww.yourchildrennauturally.com look for the "Ask Dr. Sears link and look up fevers etc...

That temperature is not too high, a mild fever. Strip her down to a diaper. You can even give her a lukewarm bath. Retake the temperature every half hour to monitor that its not getting any worse.

If you have insurance they usually have a 24 hour nurse line. You can call that nurse and ask advice on what meds you can give her. Or you can call your local ER and they will give you a number to your local childrens hospital nurse line. She is so young i would be nervous to advise anything else. Hope she feels better.

You should call your doctor & ask to speak to the nurse to ease your concerns. Did you take a rectal temperature? That is what you should do to get the most accurate temperature. But, if she is crying excessively, then it could indicate that she is getting sick. Hope she is OK!
