Two options: Ice or a product called goo gone.
If using ice, just hold against the gum until it becomes stiff or less pliable. You should be able to simple scrape the gum off.
Goo gone is also a very effective product - just follow direction for the type of fabric.

Use an ice cube to freeze the piece of gum then just remove carefully. Should get it off.

Take an ice cube and hold it over the gum, the gum will freeze and you can peel it right off.

Use 2 ice cubes on each side of the gum to freeze it , then just remove it carefully. it Should get off.
