Enough food to go around. Here we have shelters, soup kitchens and canned food programs if you're too poor to eat regularly, but in some countries there are people who are lucky to get one paltry meal a day. We only let "pretty" food get to the market and will trash a carrot just because it has a twisted root. I once had a pastor from the former Yugoslavia, who said he couldn't believe it when he got over here and found people throwing food away.

People complain about the price of healthcare and medical insurance in the United States.

Every time I pay my insurance or pay a co-pay or get a bill from a hospital for something me or one of my children received medical attention for, I have to remind myself of kids in Africa and other places that die every day- not because they can't afford healthcare, but because it's just not available to them.
