My husband and I do. We just don't understand why you should love your spouse, boy/girlfriend on one day what about the rest of the year? What about giving gifts to each other on just any day why just one certain day? I don't get why Valentine's day is that big of a deal when you should be loving each other all year.I think Hallmark is trying to get money out of people. What's your views on this?

It's so overrated. I mean, sure it's nice to get some extra love that day, but really, it's not necessary to spend hundreds of dollars just because it's a stupid holiday. Hallmark makes every holiday a bigger deal than they used to be. And for the single people, this day just sucks more than anything. My heart goes out to those that have to sit at home alone with no one to cozy up to.

Yes and No
My husband and I feel the same way. Doing thoughtful things should be a regular part of every relationship; all year long.

On the other hand, it is a positive "holiday" and an opportunity for loving gestures and good memories to be shared.

As far as commercialism...they get you anyway they can; all year long.

I think Valentines day is over commercialized. Especially when chocolate comes in heart and bear shapes and the over prized cards everywhere.
We love to surprise each other any day of the year. We do go out for a valentines dinner, because our favorite Italian restaurant has a great menu made up.
I like to buy my hubby special cards and make him notes. Make him nice dinners and have him relax and get him a cool beer, which I know he likes. Love is a year long, because if it only lasted for one day in the year, who wanted to get married anyways.

My wife and I have never done much on Vday because we do enough for each other throughout the rest of the year. I don't need a holiday to express my love for her. I think its a scam as well. If that's the only day you do something you need more help than a holiday.

My fiancee and I talked about this. We both feel it is another created holiday just to sell overpriced flowers, candy etc. Still I will get her a card and something else. The most important thing is to always show your love for your partner.
