(and clearly out of touch with society) is asked if the lady just "snapped" and the guy acutally have the nerve to say that
and i quote
"people don't snap society thinks they do but they don't"
so i'm asking do people snap?
we all know they do-but i have to ask you all your feelings. because personaly i'm tired of hearing these lame comments from people who live in gated communites.

when you hit someone out of anger. that's snapping. when you say "f you" to someone you don't like that's snapping. snapping has different levels. some things are beyond obvious. if you never done that then youre the 1% of the population that is PERFECT. (yes that was sarcasm).
and i'm not asking about this women specifically-I AM ASKING IF PEOPLE SNAP. so you who cite what she had with her-i agree is fishy. so please stick to if people snap. not her case.

Of course people snap. This guy must not be very credible at whatever he does. I'm pretty sure any psychologist will admit that when people get pushed past their limits, they will do things they wouldn't normally do.

We all have our bad days. Love is very powerful. And yes, we all have our breaking point. Being an Astronaut, I'd assume she's a pretty level headed, highly educated, stable person. She reached her breaking point and did (for lack of a better term) snap.
I feel sorry for her. I hope her career doesn't end over this. We've all been there. She just needs some time and understanding to get back on her feet. I really hope she flies again. Just keep her and this dude in different flight crews that's all.

No, I don't think she just snapped nor do I think people just snap. She had to get the diaper. Gather all those things to put in her little "kit" and travel all the way to Florida. She is unbalanced but she had all that time (at least 12 hours) in which to reconsider and turn around. No, she was aware and just wanted revenge. How she ever passed all those psychological test for NASA amazes me, and it might hurt her defense.
I do believe that there is some mental illness that occurred over a period of time, but that something like the "triangle" may have put her into a spin, but still she had time to stop.

I believe the mind can only take so much stress for some and then it is a struggle to hold on to normal thoughts. I have known one man that comes to mind and he slowly lost reality and is now out of touch w/anything that resembles normalcy.
This lady you speak of I have limited information on but for someone to say people don't snap is outrageous.

People do snap, I don't know why some people say that does not happen. I am sure that most of us have seen someone snap at one time or another.

Oh yes, people snap. They do it every day.
I don't know where they get these "experts" when they do these interviews. The worst one I've ever heard was right after Dale Earnhardt got killed. An interviewer asked if Earnhardt had ever been in an accident before.

I agree...people just don't snap under pressure..there true self just rises to the surface. They have always had the evil or the ability to hurt someone in situations like this.. that anger is already there from childhood.

I think that she is a latent bi-polar and stress threw her into the manic phase. The long drive without stopping is a cardinal sign.

I don't live in a gated community nor do I think people snap.
I think she was probably a very sick woman to begin wth and things built up to what they became.
I don't think she was perfectly normal and sneezed and immediately thought "I'm gonna put on a diaper and drive all the way up there to kill that woman"
