star trek fans?

are the deep space 9 episodes worth watching and do they ever encounter the borg i have seen all the other series need some more

I always have liked Deep Space 9 - and I grew up watching Captain Kirk. If I remember correctly, there were a couple of Borg episodes where they were coming through the worm hole. It wasn't an everyday kind of thing. Mostly it dealt with Cardacian and Bajoran relations.

DS9 was a good Trek Series-surprised You haven't seen them! There are crossovers between this,the other series and the Movies,and some great story arcs..The Borg don't show up in the story arcs,(Although The Pilot Feature length episode has us Meeting Ben Sisko for the first time on a ship during the Wolf 359 Battle after Picard was Assimilated as Locutus-and Sisko's first meeting with Picard after He was rescued could be called "Tense"...).. though there are loads more Aliens they do get to meet..

Hmmm... I don't remember much of anything with the borg.

As far as the series goes, it was pretty good. The first few seasons are slow, but it picks up. By the end of the series, you'll see some pretty fantastic space battles. I think the best battle scenes of all of the series (fleets of ships fighting at one time!) and I personally always liked those!

If you liked Next Generation, DS9 fits in nicely as it is set in the same timeline and area of space. Voyager was well... elsewhere, while Enterprise preceeded all the treks timeline wise.

DS9 is well worth watching. Some great shows there and yes the borg show up a couple of times.

DS9 was ok... I preferred the next Generation of Trek instead.

Noteworthy in DS9 was the episode, 'The Visitor' from season 4. Remarkable music, very well acted, and a good story.

I really enjoyed the DS9 series, and I don't think they had a run-in with the Borg.
