Make a shirt with something cute involving him on it, like "2-0's my Hero" or something along those lines. Then have one of your friends take candid pictures of you and some of your other friends cheering him on. Have said friend casually show the basketball player in question the photos, or just put them up on myspace/facebook, etc. Or simply say, "I have a crush on you." That works more than you would think.

Go to all of his games and support him. Be there with signs and scream his name when he's playing. After a good game just go up to him and say you like him. He'll already be happy, and you can make his day even better, if you tell him.
