It depends if I'm wearing contacts or glasses. I had a pair of prescription glasses that had magnetic sunglasses that attached. They make clip on ones, but most won't fit that well.
Usually if I'm wearing glasses, I will just squint and use my visors to take care of the sun - sometimes on long trips I will put a pair of sunglasses on over my glasses - amber tinted ones seem to not leave me as drowsy.
If I'm wearing contacts, I will usually wear sunglasses while driving or doing other outdoor activity. The contacts actually have UV protection too, so I don't have to waste money on expensive UV blocking sunglasses.
I only really need sunglasses when I'm driving home at night, since I go due west, and the sun will be getting close to the horizon. I watched (well, I could barely see it) a really bad wreck the other night because someone didn't see someone pulling out due to the sun - I was being extra cautious because of the glare - but some people are just idiots.

The only time I drive without them is at night. My eyes are really sensitive, so even in cloudy weather I always have my sunglasses on.

I drive without them all the time because my photo gray lenses don't seem to work inside the car. I never understood why.

Though initially used to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation and glare from bright lights, they are widely considered a fashion accessory.More details at http://eye-care.in/sunglasses.html
