When it snows he puts on full waterproofs, hat, scarf, gloves, rigger boots etc just to put the rubish out. It takes him longer to put all the gear on than it does to walk to the end of our drive.
Fair enough, we live out in the countryside and it take a few minutes to get to the road end but I still think he's a bit daft!

Anyone else get really carried away just cos it snows?

Don't get me wrong - I'm not slagging him off for it!
I'm just wondering if anyone else goes a bit OTT just cos there's a bit of snow?

Nope am 29 and am getting really excited and keep looking out the window to see if its started yet.

It just brings back memories of snow ball fights, missing days off school and lots of fun. My little one is 4 and has never seen "proper" snow other than the tiny little amount we seem to get nowadays so I am sooo excited that we may get a good load of snow tonight/tomorrow and hoping (will probably get disappointed) that it lasts and keeps snowing for 2-3 days.

So yes I get carried away when it snows.

I live in Western Australia, the nice hot part. I've never seen snow in my life so if I were to see snow I'd probably dance around and make snow angels. You get to see snow and so many others don't, so maybe you should appreciate the wonder of it. You can't build 'dirt men' so enjoy snow men.

Also if it takes so long for him to put everything on, why don't you take the rubbish out yourself?

I get really excited because where I live, we're lucky if it snows twice. We had the first snow in 2 years a couple of weeks ago.

I hate when in a snow fight, a flying ball hits your neck and the ice trickles into the interior of the coat.

Maybe he needs something to get him excited - heat things up a little indoors and he won't want to go out will he ?
