As weird as it may sound, there might be a little bit of truth to this. If we look at history we are told the vast majority of the Protestant population of Ulster is descended from Lowland Scots Presbyterians and to a lesser extent, Anglicans from the North of England. DNA science tells us the Northern English are closer in genetic makeup to the Lowland Scots than they are to the English people south of the 'Wash'. Hence, they are descended from both native Celts and Anglo-Saxon invaders. There was also a large infusion of blood from the Vikings and the Normans, both of who can trace their roots to modern day Norway. Thus we see a combination of Celtic and Germanic blood, which in turn would favour blond or reddish hair with fair skin and freckles.
Therefore the native Irish (Catholic population) would be darker.

Sort of. But then again I am a Catholic, parts of my family hail from the North and I am a very pale redheaded person. Personally I am an American, not Irish, but of Irish parentage, but the family on both sides has always been Catholic. I do think that you are dead on about the Scandinavian/Germanic blood though.
I think it comes down to attitude and how people read each other. I was always pegged for a Catholic when I was in the North, even though I don't wear a cross or anything and am frankly a hairs breadth away from atheism these days..

The Salem Witch Trials weren't performed by the Catholic Church!!! it rather is likely considered one of the main incredulous statements i've got ever examine. and that i might desire to be attentive to, too 'cuz i'm from MA!! Catholicism grew to become into unlawful in countless the colonies (alongside with MA) till the 18th century (and in some places, the nineteenth). This modern-day isn't something better than a smear marketing campaign aimed in direction of the Holy Father. the concentration of the clicking coverage surrounding it is all related to the Pope, not related to the victims and the rather perpetrators of the crimes.

I believe so, i always thought about this, Protestants are English ancestry (Anglo_Saxon) well most anyway therefore look bit like Germans (lolz) and Catholics are the Native Irish who are more exotic looking, darker, and infact more better looking, even personality you can tell the difference, they are more calmer, fun, civilsed, freindly, and have passion and are proud of their heritage, while Protestants some dont even want to know about their heritage, wonder why? erm lolz.

Since the base of the catholic church is in italy, it makes sense that catholics "might" look like their country of origin was italy, but only in a very loose correlation. I think it really depends on where you're taking the survey... we have a ton of catholics here but they're mostly of irish background, i.e. red hair, freckles, etc.

Interesting observations. I'm not sure upon what it is all based, but in the western US people say they can tell who is LDS (Mormon) based on physical characteristics, so there might be something to it.

The blood of my family has been poured too many a times. I am glad I have chosen peace and am in the states now. My headaches are gone and the burning in my eyes has gone since I don't have to lay them on the pukes of my land. And ya know, that first lass is probably right, my stomach got to burning as soon as I started writting. I thought maybe twas the memorys but I think it is the stink of you ya wretched pig.
