I can not call the company that provided me these W-2's in the past beacuse they closed down. What Do I Do? I need them with in 3 weeks or local tax collections are taking me to court. This company that closed down took my local taxes out of my check but never paid them.

Michael,

Call the IRS (get the number from www.IRS.gov) and tell them you need your W2s for 1999 - 2002.

Make sure you write down the person's ID number and tell him or her that you need them in 2 weeks.

Call the collection agency and give the person's ID number and let them know that you will receive the documents in 3 weeks.

Did you file your federal taxes?

Call the IRS (1-800-TAX-FORM) and ask for copies of the W-2's you attached to the federal form for these years.

If you didn't file taxes for 99,00,01,02 on the federal level, then you might as well hand the local tax agency a condom while they screw you over.

This is happening because your documentation/organization skills need improvement.

You can also request them on-line at ww.irs.gov but I don't think you can get them that fast.

Did you not save your copy of the W-2s and a copy of your taxes that you filed for those years? You always get 3 copies of your W-2 - 1 for the fed, 1 for the state and 1 for your records.
