Well Great Britain is now saying that the first 3 letter-bombs are likely the work of Animal Rights Activists .
Assuming you know the definition of 'Terrorism' , don't you think they should be prosecuted as Terrorists ?
And as long as we're on the topic, how about PETA ? Terrorists or no ?

It may be the work of animal rights activists.
"On the back of one of those envelopes, sent to a firm in Abingdon, was the name of Barry Horne, an animal rights extremist who died in 2001 while serving an 18-year jail sentence for a firebombing campaign."

They are both; they just like animals & hate to see what we have done to them & would continue to do if some laws were not passed to stop the greedy & uninformed.
We had almost fished the oceans clean, deleated the seal population almost out of exsistance, Whales were almost gone, etc.
Perhaps they got out of line, but they were passionate about their cause. This was not just about your dogs & cats. This was mostly about animals that once gone could never be replaced. Now those species are rebounding. We have laws the prohibit over fishing & killing endangered animals. Don't tell me that this is wrong.
As for PETA, they don't like to see perfictly good animals put to death. They try to have someone adopt them. Death is a last resort. Many dogs, cats etc live out their lives in shelters. This seems humane to me.

You put yourself in an interesting position. PETA wants to extend rights to animals just like people, conservatism dictates that with rights come responsibilties. This is difficult to justify. PETA kills more animals than you, I, and everyone we know combined. Consider that the next time you send a check. Try supporting the humane society and animal rescue groups.

I think they are liberal. They are extreme and thats the qualities of a liberal. It also puts their beliefs ahead of all others with disregard to their beliefs and safety. I think anyone who does any kind of violence like this should be prosecuted to the fullest. I too just love animals!! All of them but PETA is a group who don't have any priorities except their mixed up ones and they use terrorist style methods. Didn't the leader of PETA get busted for cruelty to animals?

Isn't that the point? I mean throwing red paint on a mink jacket at a high fashion show, and blowing up animal labs is a thin line. They support the environmental terrorist groups,, so yeah, they are terrotists.

They're liberal because they're anti-property rights.
It's very clever. My neighbor has a yard, in his yard is a gorgeous weeping beech tree. I LOVE weeping beech trees. But it's HIS tree. He was going to cut it down and I said "no, it's beautiful, we love looking at it" and he kept it - though he never mows his lawn so it's probably just sheer laziness. But if he HAD decided to cut it down, I could, I suppose, get cheeky and try to run and end-around on property rights by suing to enjoin him on the grounds that the TREE had rights.....
Very clever....
But very wrong... and against every principle that our Founders stood for.
Liberals are against property rights - the notion that you own something and it's yours to do what you want with it is foreign to them - they think you should be forced to use it for what they consider to be in "the public good," a term that is completely subjective.
They're worse in fact than communists. At least communists take on the burdens of owning the property - the liberals just leave that up to you and take any profit you make and try to dictate how you use the property, on clever but misleading arguments like "the tree has rights" or some worm or maggot has rights.

It has been my observation that they tend to be liberal; which makes sense, as liberals tend to stand for no true moral virtue while manufacturing their own. Animals do not have rights.
Steve C, why don't you come to the house for some puppies. They're great with ketchup!
