He better know what he's talking about, he is the doctor. After your D&C they'll also test your hCG levels for a while to make sure they're going down like they should. Try not to stress about it. IF anything turns out to be wrong, they CAN treat you for it, but don't worry about it until then.

just gone throw a molar pregnancy, my doc, the radiologist, the fertility specialist all advise me to wait for the pregnancy to expulse on it own and it did also noted from the Radiologist I was told that it was a molar but when the D&C was done the scraps or whatever else that was left was send to have an otopsy done the result come back unclear and from reading it we were told that it was not a molar pregnancy but nevertheless I prefer to be treated as if it was and my doc agree that they will check my HCG to make sure I have finally reach 5 on the 31 of January
so I am hoping my next month test it is still 5 if so I will try again in july
as for you just relax and pray . Please ask to have an otopsy done on whatever the remove inside of you during your D&C
I also know that people will tell you it was not a pregnancy but to me it was and it hurt like hell, it has been 2 months since my D&c and I am still dreaming what it would have been like
but I know you will be OK (You see I don't you and I say that you will be OK ) BECAUSE when it come to needle, blood no one is weaker than me and because this was my 3rd miscariage and
my first D&C adn I am here to tell you about it
I am sure that we will all pray for you

I'm sure that he knows what he is talking aobut. I had a blighted ovem...where there sperm and egg met, and I was pregnant but it stoppd growing. I had an u/s where they found just a sac at 9 weeks. They don't test anything when you have a d&c...they just scrape out your uterus. On a brighter side...I was told that havign a d&c gets rid of all the old linings in your uterus, and makes it a great host for another pregnancy. I was told that I would conceive quickly after...I waited a month like they said, and was pregnant again within 2 months

It's very obvious from a sonogram if you've had a molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy is the absence of a fetus but presence of a placenta. That's pretty hard to miss.

I think your doc knows what he's talking about. The sonogram should be proof enough because he should be able to see if there is a baby in there or not
