The best outlet would be a local crafts show, especially a flea market or something like that. They have very low overhead, sometimes free, and they are a great way to get to know your customers and what their needs are. Ebay is a great tool if you already have a fan base, but online auctions for the unknown artist are a crap shoot for both the buyer and seller, which is an unfortunate side effect of both ebay scams and their incredibly high volume.

Ebay and Amazon are great way to sell arts online. But make sure to budget right in the case of Ebay, they give little service and can cost a lot of money even if you sell nothing.
