It has to be Bobby Moore. The captain of the England team that won the only World Cup for England in 1996. Other players are good, but they have not won anything for England.

C'mon - Hands up here who actually seen Bobby Moore play ? That's just listening to pundits and commentators opinions and the odd flashback to his best moments in an England shirt !!
Having said that it would be none of the present squad - too many prima donnas - so I'm going for Peter Beardsley. He made Lineker look good !

There is no question about it its DAVID BECKHAM, he has done a lot for england all those goals he scored all the matches that he has won for them. He is the best of england its sad that his not the captain anymore. Now his out. And in real madrid, his great but the coach is an *** and isnt letting him play.
