There is no clear answer. People hate for a variety of reasons. Some people hate Mexicans, some hate blacks, some hate Jehovah's Witnesses, some hate Middle Easterners, for a host of reasons. Some have a person connection with them. I knew a kid in school that hated LDS people (Mormons). After a few simple questions i came to find out that he was dating an LDS girl that refused to have premarital sex with him because she had much high morals than he did--therefore he spent the rest of his life bad-mouthing Mormons. Some hate Asians because they lost their job to a better qualified Asian applicant.
There is no right answer to this question.

Mostly because they're different and people don't like what's different.
People hate gays because they can't understand why someone would sleep with someone of the same sex.
And people hate the jewish because they have a different faith. There are Christians who blame the Jewish for the death of Jesus Christ...

Because the Jews killed Jesus, and the Gays go against more than a few of his teachings.
