Disney World -Fla & Universal Studios
Should I just mix the two up like go to Epcot center and Island of Adventures?
How far are these two parks?
I want to go to both but I want what is best for me and my fiance'.

Plus we are going there: Arriving April 26 (going to a park on that Friday and Saturday, then leaving-April 30) Is the parks crowded then? Is it cold out there?

Well Peak season is (2/15 - 4/14) so you'll have missed that but you are into regular season (4/15 - 5/23). Disney world is ok and you may want to check out splash mountain, space mountain,
Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion
Epcot is good for eating (Norway & Germany) or Mission Space, Test Track and Soarin'.
Disney MGM has two of the best rides - Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror - They are the best
Animal Kingdon has a new ride - Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain which is supposed to be great.

Universal is about four - five miles north on I-4. They are less expensive and have ride like the hulk , spiderman, revenge of the mummy, men in black and dueling dragons. Both places are great and crowded. It will not be cold down here at that time of year.

Islands of Adventure is a Universal Park. Normally I would only recommend going to one pask in a day, but Universal offers a discount, for only about $10 more you can get a park hopper pass and go to both in the same day. They are right next to each other.

The Disney parks are about 10-20 minutes away, sometimes more depending on traffic. I'm not sure why you chose Epcot, it's fun, but Magic Kingdom or MGM I enjoy a lot better. They too sometimes offer multi-park tickets at a discount. But there parks are spread out and you have to take shuttles from one to the other.

The park will be PACKED at that time, it's right around Spring Break, but it almost always is packed.

By APril, it will be really hot. Probably in the 80's and 90's all day. At the very least it will be 70 but I doubt that.

disney is about 10-20 minutes away from universal when taking taking I-4 depending on traffic. disney has 4 parks and usually if you want to experience the whole disney experience you have to atleast spend 1 day at each park. if you want to ride all the popular rides there will be a lot of waiting in lines. believe it or not but 4 days is not enough to see both disney and universal.

i would go to universal studios instead because for a couple more dollars you can get a pass (that will decrease the amount of time you spend in lines) for the rides. universal also serves alcohol in both parks, while in disney the only park that allows the sale of alcohol is epcot.

hope this helps

visit disney between nov. - feb.

You might have to deal with some high crowds that time of year. But it will be plenty warm for you to enjoy everything, including the beach or water park if you choose.
Disney World and Universal are about 15-20 minutes apart. From Disney property, you take the I-4 north until you see signs for Universal. So you'd either need a rental car or make an online shuttle reservation with mears transportation http://www.mearstransportation.com
Or, if you are staying at a non-Disney hotel, they may offer a free shuttle service to and from all of the parks. Disney only offers free shuttle service as long as you stay on their property.
You'll have 4 days to play and 2 travel days.

I recommend you purchase a 3-day Disney park hopper pass, so that you can see all 4 parks in 3 days. Then spend your 4th day at Universal's Islands of Adventure (its a lot better than Universal Studios).

You can order discounted Disney tickets at any of the following locations:
AAA (membership required)
your local Disney Store
Costco (membership required - travel services)
Sam's Club (membership required - travel services)

Or orderthem from Disney directly at:
http://www.disneyworld.com

My best advice is to dont do more than one major park a day. Take your time and be aware of ques. But a good advice could be to get a multiple reentry pass and get to epcot when it opens, do all your musts and be out when the ques starts to get very long. Then take the adventure island or a beach/water park untill early afternoon/evening and then go back to epcot and have dinner and watch the fireworks (If I dont remember wrong epcot is open til late) and then get some sleep.
