No don't worry! And for those babies who are smiling at this age, I bet most is due to gas which parents think are real smiles. Relax and enjoy, your baby will grow so fast and do so much soon enough!

You have nothing to worry about. Most babies at this age don't really smile, just look that way when they have gas. Our baby didn't actually smile until about 10 weeks and then they were few and far between! Be patient, but when it does happen you WILL melt!!

No your baby is fine, babies usually start smiling within 8-12 weeks. My first daughter smiled at 9 weeks, my second at 8 weeks. Every baby is different. This is the best site to read up on development:

I do not think there is anything wrong my son is now just starting to smile and he is 9 weeks so don't worry about it if you are because i was with my first one ( now on my 3rd) talk to his/her doctor and see what they think but I think the baby will do thing when you least expect it and at their own pace.
Good Luck and congratulations

7 weeks is too early for real smiles. Nothing to worry about at all.

Nope, some babies just arent smiley. It will happen in time and when it does it will be even more rewarding because you have had to wait for it. Some babies smile from day one, my son did, and others take more time to smile. Dont worry Im sure your baby is fine. I bet that first smile will be for you and you will love it!

Don't worry about it. Babies that yound normally don't smile. It is just an uncontrolled gesture that they make (some say it is caused by passing gas!)
Be patient. 7 weeks is too young. Once he/she is a bit older, he will smile and you smile back at him...... and you won't change this with the whole world!
Congratulations on your newborn!

No, not all babies develop at the same time and some babies are naturally more smiley than others. Just keep smiling and talking to your baby and they'll come around.

the nurse told me that babies dont mean their smile till they are at least 2 months and the times they do smile before that time it is just a reflex.
