My Mum owned a hotel and when I was 12 ,I sneaked into the cellar and stole 200 silkcut I went to school and gave 180 to my friends and kept 20 for me, I became the most popular guy in my class and after that 20 were finished i was hooked ... It is completely my own fault and anyone who blames there parents or other people are wrong because the only person who put that first cigarette into there mouth was the one smoking it.

The first one I had I bought myself. Mum smoked but I don't blame her. Back in school most people smoked and I started 'just to fit in' like you do and haven't been able to give up (apart from one occasion and stupidly started again after 3 years which i totally reget)

Malaya 1955. Didn't steal from anyone. The Army issued us with a sealed tin of 50 free cigatettes per week. Three Castles were my favourite brand. No one to blame except me, and I still enjoy them. Ed.

The first cigarette i had was when i was 13, only by 'mistake'. Me and my 2 friends found 3 cigarettes on the beach so we hold on to them then later on at night we went onto a secluded part of the beach to be 'naughty' he he :)

I am sorry to say that when I was a youngster there was no problem with smoking and so it was probably an aunt or uncle that gave me my first smoke.
Now over fifty years later I regret taking that first cigarette! take my advice and don't take that first drag.
Now we know what problems it causes and once addicted it is hard to break.

I earned enough money by returning lemonade bottles and bought my own. I bought a pack of 10 No.6, i was probably about 9 or 10 years old

A lad who I thought was seriously cool cos he had a bad reputation... I couldn't believe he liked me and I didn't want him to think I wasn't cool so after a night at a party I gave it a go! Yuk! xx

think i must of nicked it of me mam when i was bout 9 lol. but i smoked till 18 and in process of giving up. dont blame no one but meself. it was the " cool " thing to do back in the day lol

Nicked one off my aunt. My mates first cigarette though was a butt rolly. Turned the poor b@stard green!
