all anorexic/bulimic chicks should listen to this answer, coming from a straight guy; ultra skinny girls look terrible. i've literally gotten nauseous from seeing anorexic chicks. obesity is obviously pretty nasty too, but not as bad as starvation.

You are a size 10-12 and you want to be a size 0!! In the UK, that is a size 4. I don't think that is healthy and your size is already perfect.
I have size 12-14 hips and am 5ft2, I can't ever imagine being a size 4 as I have naturally wide hip bones, nor would I want to be. You do realise those measurements are around 31-23-33, don't you? So you want to have no bust, no hips and the waist of a 10 year old??
My personal feelings about size 0 are that it is fine for someone who is naturally very small framed, but for the majority of people it is not acceptable. I know I would have to be at least 5lb-10lb underweight to be a size 4. I'd rather be a size 10-12 up top and a size 12-14 on the bottom, at least I look healthy.
Take care : )

We cannot just expect size zero to go away, there are some women who are this size naturally and for once they are able to buy clothes that do not cost the earth and do not come from children shops. However, it should not make you feel concious about your body, in the same way that you being a size 10-12 should make me feel concerned . We are what we are - even if I diet myself stupid I know I would look silly in anything under a size 14. Maybe as a society we should begin celebrating people's less physical traits - minds, personality and other traits are more fun and interesting

What do you mean is it acceptable? Do you mean is it acceptable for others to be a zero? Well, I guess yes. Some people honestly cannot help what size they are and would do anything to gain weight. And then it depends on the dimensions of one's body as well. I had a friend who wore a zero, she was also 4'10 and trust me she was not stick thin. I once worked with a woman who did not get up over 100 lbs. until she was nearly to the end of her pregnancy (and yes, she was quite excited once she did reach that weight). You need to not be so concerned with what size you are, but rather what shape you are in. A few years ago, I made it down to a 6, and while I was happy at obtaining the size, I realized that I got too thin too fast. Size is really just a number. It's the actual shape you are in that matters.

Sizes are relative.
I know a few different girls who are a size 0. A few have always been that small; they have fast metabolisms. One of them looks great because she is very petite with a very small frame...she's only either 4'9 or 5'0. So she looks great.
I know 2 different girls who are a size 0 because they worked out until they got that small. To be honest, I don't think they look healthy.
Now, when I say size is relative...it depends on things like your height and your bone structure. I have wide hips and a medium frame, so honestly, I could never be below a 7, MAYBE a 5. It doesn't mean I'm heavy (right now I wear a 12). It just means my body structure is different.
Your size is just a number. And a 10-12 is a healthy size. I don't know what you look like, but if you feel self concious, try working out. Now, dont work out just to lose weight; work out because I promise it will make you feel better about yourself! It's true! If I go months without working out, I feel...sloppy, chubby, and lazy. Lately I've started working out again, and I feel great about myself. I'm still the same size, but doing something good for my body makes me feel better. :)

some people are naturally tiny, but this isnt the problem that many young women are facing, young women are becomming size zero because they are constantly being shown pictures of size 0 models in the media. aspiring to be this size is ridiculous, its unhealthy to be so small. it is only in recent years that women have felt this pressure, most women used to be perfectly happy being a size 12 or 14. you are obviously very slim already, and you should be so happy to be the size you are, because im dying to lose some weight!!! dont let the media and other people make you feel pressured. models that have been looked up to and put on the catwalks have died because of anorexia, so surely its not something to aspire to. be happy in your own skin xxx

size 10-12 is a great size to be your slim and healthy!!! My personal opinion is that all sizes are great from size 0-200, whatever size you feel good at is the only important thing.... I'm a guy and I'm almost size 0 (naturally) when guys are supposed to be well built rather than super skinny and I don't care because i feel great this size

size zero isn't as bad as it sounds, it is a UK 4, which is only 4 sizes below a 12, which is healthy. some people are naturally thin, if they are really athletic and get thin rather than muscly, then they obviously need something to wear which fits. celebrities who shrink down to a size zero when they were better as a larger size are stupid, but some people naturally fit that size

personally i dont think it is, and designers shouldnt use size 0 models to show off their clothes ranges. the people who are size 0 are anorexic and have problems with their weight, to the point that they cant see how unhealthy they are!! hunni, a size 10-12 is below average, so you are absoloutley fine!, be happy with your body!!!!!!!!! hope this helps xx

Don't be conscious of that size, that is a perfect and normal size. Size 0 is not normal, it is just skinny as anything. BE happy!

yes, it's acceptable. We have to wear something too, and it's not our fault that we are size zero, no that this size was made into some kind of a fetish. People are different, and zero size people need clothing, as well as all other sizes.
