I used to do that all the time and wonder what I was actually seeing. One day I went a bought an Astronomy magazine. They had these star charts in there that told me how to identify everything. I was amazed at the fact that I could see certain planets with the naked eye! This just sparked my interest even more. I then started observing with binoculars. This just didn't satisfy my craving either. I now have a decent telescope and observe lots of nights. I love the calm serene feeling and the fact that I am seeing a planet or galaxy in real live time is just amazing to me. A feeling that is unparalleled. I just wish it would warm up a little bit. It has been too cold lately for me. Plus the fact that winter time has some of the best sights to see. The Orion nebula being one in particular. Keep looking up!

My favorite thing to do on a nice country summer night, actually. Only I lay down on a trampoline. It's very relaxing and I've always been amazed by stars and the universe. It's just so hard to believe they're all so far away.

I go at night to the beach and stare at the night sky while listening to the surf, relaxes me.
I think I'll go right now. Bye.

yes, as well as the roof of my house and hood of my boyfriends car. It's so calming, centering when things don't seem to be going right.
