Ive checked the "Show Autocomplete Suggestion" box but it still wont 'finish' out the date. Instead of offering February 7, 2007, it only autocompletes February and thats it. Even with a space.

You need to finish typing the name of the month. When you let it auto finish the spelling of the month, it thinks you're done. As soon as you type the space after February, it'll come up...but only when YOU type February.

I know I have had to do battle with auto entry when I didn't want it, but when I went and looked just now, the Word Help said it should work exactly like you said and the actual operation was exactly like the 1st answer said: If you type the whole word and hit space it offeres the whole date, but if you type Febr then enter and space, it fills out February and offers nothing more, yet the help for this says that not only can you do autotext to finish the month and hit space for the date, but you should be able to type in the day and a comma and get the year and none of those work.

According to what I read in the help section, only type the FIRST FOUR letters of the month. It will show the rest of the month, and then you hit enter...type a space and the date should autocomplete. If you type more than the 4 letters of the month, it may not be completing the autodate insertion correctly.

With any of the letter formats the date is automatically inserted. In autotext, author, chapter and date can be selected.
