This is because the sun attracts our earth and the centripetal force (in easy words)
makes our earth to like a object which likes to go in the outer space these two big forces nearly cancel the effect of each other and our earth revolves around the sun by both of the pulls of these forces

Earth and all other planets are formed from a spinning cloud of gas that coalesced on cooling into Sun and the planets etc., The angular momentum had to be conserved and so the Sun and the planets keep spinning around themselves as also orbit around other stellar bodies. For example, Sun is orbiting around another constellation. Earth is orbiting around Sun etc.

I am just guessing? Electromagnetic Energy at the Earths core. I don't think the moon rotates in our view. Maybe it's the dark side?
