No, neither do black people, The only thing created by naming a month black history month is more segregation, So what are we going to do here Janurary is white history month, Feb is black history, March is mexican history, April is chinese history, may is indian history. You might as well as change the name of the months to the races of different people that live in this country. Wouldn't that be truly equal, Then people would be saying it's unfair The chinese have a longer month than the mexicans. Get rid of it.

I don't know what history books you had in school, but the ones I had only contained history on Europeans and white Americans. Every day was white history month until I began college and learned significant information on other races and nationalities. I think accurate history across the board should be taught. We live in an extremely racially diverse country and yet know so little about each other!

Not at the moment as most history is taught from a Caucasian, straight, male perspective. Were things truly equal then a white history month would be justified, but we are far from that.
But we need to look at history from many perspectives. Women's history, gay and lesbian history, trans-gender history and many other histories. It should be remembered those who control history control the future.

I disagree with Black History Month, but not for the reason you give.
To be fair, white people get the other eleven months of the year as their history month. And in fact, they also get February, they just have to share with Black History.
I believe that all History should be taught, regardless of whether it is about whites, blacks, or any other race (they all can be learned from). What Black History month did more or less is that it angered blacks, who know they only get the shortest month and all they really learn about is Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, and "the guy who invented the peanut." Very few people even remember the guy's name (George Washington Carver, if anyone does care--and he didn't invent the peanut , he invented over three hundred uses for it). They really get practically nothing.
All the other minorities are angry because they didn't even get that much. No one knows that Mexicans were at the Alamo fighting with the Texans as well. No one knows who Benito Juarez is, or how Fidel Castro came to power. How each and every country in South America fought for their independence at least as hard as the Americans of North America did. I can't even give you that many good things, because I wasn't taught them either. Then you still have Asians, Arabs, Jews, Israelis, Africans, and yes much of European. If it didn't relate directly to the US whites, no one really knows anything about it.
It isn't really racism, its just laziness. But we must do more to teach black history, but just as much all history of any and all races. We are in this together, it would be nice to know who I've got on my side in this struggle for life.

There should be no "race history" months. If people want to learn about the history of particular groups, they will do it no matter what month it is. There aren't enough months in the year to give one to every race.

To be truly equal whites deserve to be hearded into ghettos, denied jobs, denied the right to vote, denied access to public facilities, have thier children hosed while trying to go to school, have scientist try to prove you are genetically inferior and therefore do not deserve human kindness. They need this to happen for 400 years AND then YES, they can have everything EQUAL to blacks....

I don't think there should be any "months" - I think everyone needs to act more mature and appreciate, respect and accept each other. People need to realize that a person's character is what is important, not the color of their skin. And we should ALL do that 12 months out of the year.

Caucasians have had History years. The fact that Blacks have a month is just to play catch up and give information on what was left out of the history books. It's not for us you see, it's for everyone else.

Well actually, Martin L. King day is on Robert E. Lees birthday which i find totally disgusting and Lee is probably rolling over in his grave right now, but its just another thing that Blacks have stolen. They whined so much we had to give it to them because theyre great great great great great great ancestors were slaves, and they act like it affected them.
